Paper Piecing

Complex Quilt Blocks Made Easy!

Paper piecing, also called foundation piecing, has become a very popular technique in machine quilting. It can also be used to create custom detailed accents for tote bags, garments and home decorating projects.

Although it can seem confusing at first, it’s a simple, fun method that can produce extremely detailed and professional looking textile art that would be much more difficult to produce by other methods.

In this class we will learn the steps and the basic techniques by creating a few sample blocks.

A list of required supplies and notions, and advance preparation instructions will be provided when you register.

There is a $3 class supply fee for handouts including foundation patterns and instructions.

Students will be required to bring extra fabric to share with each other for maximum variety and choices in making samples.
